Necklace Organizer
Here is a really quick tip- sort out all of your jewelry before you decide to buy something like a necklace organizer.
First, sort out each type of jewelry into its own group - such as earrings, brooches, necklaces, hair ties, watches, etc.. Make sure that the jewelry that is more rugged is stored with more rugged items while the exquisite petite pieces are stored together.
Think about the pieces that you find particularly valueable. The ones that you want to pass down from generation to generation. They should have special storage consideration when you buy a new necklace organizer. It just makes sense.
While there are many types of different holders, racks and organizers for your necklaces, there are several common models. The first is the standard rotating circular rack. This rack spins so you can peruse your pieces and it has posts where you can hang each necklace. These typically come in some kind of metal and some are silver. These are obviously the more valueable. Basically your rack can also be like a piece of expensive jewelry.
Another common piece is the harp design. This design is shaped like a harp which gives it nice rolling curves for displaying all of your glittery pieces. While a rotating rack works, it just looks too practical whereas a harp shaped organizer makes everything look great.
Probably the most common harp design is the triple harp. This one has a separate harp shaped rack for your necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Its really quite a fun piece to hang your stuff on.
Here are some customer reviews of a popular triple harp model that you could find just about anywhere:
I have been trying to find a good replacement insider necklace organizer for my travel bag to store my necklaces in. I just have not been able to locate anything decent enough to switch to. However, this one was such a great idea because of the triple rack layout.
Regarding the necklace piece, at times the necklaces kind of drag along the bottom which is not good for a necklace organizer. This means that you have to store them a little higher which cuts down on the available slots to put them on.
Be careful because it can be a bit flimsy and tip over. You would think that a triple rack would do the trick, but it doesn't really. Otherwise it actually is a great rack. Do not bump it and it will not tip over. You'll be set either way. I'm just being nit picky about it. Overall, it looks fine on the dresser and my guests seem to like it when they come over. You'll probably like it too! Something like this easily holds ten or more necklaces and it's set up so you can kind of align your favorite matching pieces easily on the rack. Hanging your items is quite easy, so easy to keep them separate and organized, you'll be singing row row row your boat gently down the stream...the organization stream...cheers!
